Degreed in philosophy from The University of Southern California, Kevin began his trading career at the ripe age of 22. As one of the youngest members ever elected to a full seat on the New York Cotton Exchange, Kevin quickly established himself as a key player in the commodities trading business. He soon became the founding partner of Kerr Trading International, where he went on to trade commodities in the most well respected pits both domestic and abroad. By 1993, Kevin was a Senior Derivatives Broker/Dealer for Intercapital Brokers of London and New York. Kevin continued to trade OTC commodity swaps and options predominantly in the energy and metals sectors for the following ten years. 

In 2003, Kevin entered the publishing business by writing his first newsletter, KWEST Market Edge. KWEST’s instant success garnered attention from publishers across the country, and was eventually bought by Agora Inc. Soon after Agora purchased KWEST, Kevin became the co-editor of Outstanding Investments and the editor of Resource Trader Alert.
